Understanding Roles in Brightspace

Depending on your role (Instructor, Teaching Assistant, or Student) in the Brightspace course site, you will have access to certain components and tools in the course, such grading, editing and creating content. The table below is a guide to help you understand the privileges associated with each role.

NOTE: To ‘manage’ a tool means to be able to set up, create, edit, delete items and otherwise change all available settings within a tool.
