Let’s Talk (again!): AI in your classroom by Melanie Doyle and Carolyn Best (Coffee Break)

January 16 @ 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Let’s reconnect (or join us for the first time) and discuss your experiences with ChatGPT and other AI tools. There is no doubt that this technology is changing the way instructors assign and assess writing in university classrooms. Whether you’re concerned how generative AI is impacting students’ learning or have found exciting methods to streamline your lesson planning, ChatGPT and similar tools will influence your teaching in the coming semesters.
Join CITL staff and the Writing Centre for a casual coffee break to ask questions and discuss generative AI in your classroom. This coffee break is intended to spark discussion and for instructors to share successes (or struggle) you’ve encountered in your teaching so far.
This coffee break will be hosted in the Teaching and Learning Exchange TLX (ED 1001), St. John’s campus or you can participate remotely using WebEx. Don’t forget to bring your own cup!
