Reflections on developing and teaching an Inuit-Indigenized course (part of CITL Instructor Series)

November 2, 2022 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

This presentation will highlight the experiences of Dr. Geoff Rayner-Canham and Debbie Wheeler as they reviewed and updated the content in their online Chemistry courses to offer a more culturally relevant learning experience for learners from NAC, and ultimately leading to a more inclusive experience for learners at Memorial. Through this presentation, you will learn about their considerations and the ways they included indigenous content seamless within the delivery of an existing course. Dr. Rayner-Canham and Ms. Wheeler will also share how this work impacted the learner experience through feedback they received from students during the delivery of their courses.

Presenters: Dr. Geoff Rayner-Canham, Professor Emeritus and Debbie Wheeler, Instructor, School of Science and the Environment, Grenfell Campus.
