Embracing or Banning ChatGPT? (CITL Instructor Series)

The presenter for this session is Dr. Lourdes Peña-Castillo, Full Professor, Departments of Biology and Computer Science, Faculty of Science.

Identifying strategies on whether and how to incorporate generative AI (Language models) in teaching is an ongoing challenge and debate for educators.

In this talk, Dr. Peña-Castillo will define generative AI, discuss the benefits and concerns associated with its use, and engage participants in a discussion of how to incorporate language models like ChatGPT in the classroom.

This is a hybrid session (offered online and in-person) and it will be recorded.

If attending in-person, the session will be held in the TLX (ED 1001).
