The presenters for this session are Dr. Connie Morrison, Associate Professor, Faculty of Education and Dr. Lauren Dwyer Assistant Professor, School of Communication Studies, Mount Royal University

Originally Literature Circles were designed to help young readers improve their literacy skills and engagement with fiction; however, Dr. Morrison & Dr. Dwyer modified the typical approach and redesigned literature circles for undergraduate students to share interpretations and perspectives on assigned content.

This assessment tool creates a universal design learning model, elements of ungrading and Indigenizing curricula. In this session both professors will share the considerations and experiences they have when literature circles as part of their instruction.

This is a hybrid session (offered online and in-person) and it will be recorded.
