ChatGPT 101: Classroom Applications (CITL Instructor Series)

This introductory workshop will be framed around the challenges Dr. Dodson faced while responsively managing the impacts of powerful tools like ChatGPT and the impact on her teaching practice. In her deliberations she consider one essential question: How do I make the most of ChatGPT in my practice?
Assessment will be a key focus of the session discussion. Participants will be engaged in the examination of the pros and cons associated with the use of AI technologies in higher education. The notion of “Vintage Innovation” (Spencer, 2023) will be introduced as a potential path forward. This workshop may be of interest to those who wish to integrate ChatGPT into their existing programs and explore alternative evaluation techniques.
