Using Rubrics in Brightspace
January 23 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Rubrics are a scoring tool that outlines specific criteria for evaluating student work. Articulating evaluation criteria helps learners prepare more thoughtful submissions that are aligned with instructor expectations. Once students submit or present their work, rubrics also provide an efficient, objective, and systematic method for grading.
The Rubrics tool in Brightspace offers easy-to-modify templates to meet your specific assessment needs. Once created, the rubrics can be shared with students and used to evaluate submissions to Assignments, Discussions and more.
This session will provide an overview of the benefits and best practices in designing rubrics, an introduction to rubrics in Brightspace, along with step-by-step guidance on how to create and add a rubric to your assessment.
This session will be hosted in Webex. You can join the session 10 minutes before the start time. It is recommended that you attend this session using one of the following internet browsers: Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Firefox.
Registration is required for this event.
