November 26 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
The presenter for this session is Ryan Murphy, Assistant Professor, Business Administration , School of Arts and Social Science, Grenfell Campus.
Policies and syllabus statements limiting the use of AI tools are insufficient in an era of modern generative “AI” tools. This presentation will explore a spectrum of effective approaches for assessing learning going beyond these approaches. Ryan will explore the impact of AI on his teaching practice, going beyond the simple question of “is AI allowed?” to explore a spectrum of possible approaches to evaluation with and against AI, from AI-proof assignments to evaluations that require the use of AI to succeed.
