Each semester, CITL hosts sessions on a wide variety of topics related to effective teaching and learning. Topics range from fostering relationships in the classroom, through fostering student engagement, to alternatives to exams, and many more.

Learning Technology Series

Hands-on Brightspace workshops are also offered throughout the academic year. The workshops are typically one-hour long and include a presentation, a practical application, and a Q&A at the end. Session topics include:

Instructor Series

The instructor series is a set of online presentations facilitated by Instructors for Instructors. These session are focused on elements of one’s teaching practice, ranging syllabus construction to assessment strategies and more. All sessions are listed in the workshop calendar linked above.

Drop-In Consultations

CITL offers drop-in consultations to help faculty and instructional staff get their courses ready for the upcoming term. These sessions are ideal for quick questions, or exploring new ideas with the guidance and support of CITL’s teaching and learning team. You can visit us from Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm in the Teaching and Learning Exchange (TLX) room located in ED1001.
