class=\"wp-block-heading\">Video Note<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Video Note is a Brightspace tool that allows instructors to record\/upload videos of up to 30 minutes or 1GB to their Brightspace course. You can either upload a video (1GB max) or you can record a video through your browser using a webcam (30 minute max).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Upload a Video<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To upload a file, select the <strong>Upload File<\/strong> button. On the screen that follows, select <strong>Choose File<\/strong> to select the file from your computer, then select <strong>Next<\/strong>. Your file will upload.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following video formats are supported:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>MP4<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FLV<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>F4V<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MOV<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WEBM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Press <strong>Next<\/strong>. Fill out the Title and Description fields. If you plan to include captions, make sure to select the correct <strong>Audio Language<\/strong> and check <strong>Automatically generate captions from audio<\/strong>. Press <strong>Next<\/strong>. Brightspace will begin processing your video. This may take a few minutes. Finally, press <strong>Insert<\/strong> to add your video to the HTML editor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The video is now available in the HTML editor you were working in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Record a Video<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To record a video, select <strong>New Recording<\/strong>. Depending on your Browser and its settings, you may be asked to enable the microphone and webcam. If both are enabled, your video stream will appear in the black area of the <strong>Add Video Note<\/strong> window and the timer to the right of the recording button will start counting. When you are done your video, select <strong>Stop Recording<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: The video will stop itself after 30 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Press <strong>Next<\/strong>. Fill out the Title and Description. If you plan to include captions, make sure to select the correct <strong>Audio Language<\/strong> an check <strong>Automatically generate captions from audio<\/strong>. Press <strong>Next<\/strong>. Brightspace will begin processing your video. This may take a few minutes. Finally, press <strong>Insert<\/strong> to add your video to the HTML editor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOTE: <\/strong>As in all auto-generated captions, there may be inaccuracies in the transcript generated for your video note. For students who require a written response, you may be asked to provide an additional transcript of your commentary to ensure clarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Video Note Search<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have created a video note, it will be automatically stored in the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.citl.mun.ca\/technologyresources\/brightspace-media-library\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brightspace Media Library<\/a>.
