The editing tools available in the Media Library allow instructors to trim recordings, divide them into chapters, and generate closed captioning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Media Library is not course-specific; recordings from all courses are stored together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group note-container has-base-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Note<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Videos added to Brightspace courses via the Media Library are available for students to download. For instructors who do not wish to share downloadable videos in their courses, we recommend using the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.citl.mun.ca\/technologyresources\/tech-res-dev\/2020\/05\/06\/citl-video-uploader\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"9841\">CITL Video Uploader<\/a>. Videos added through this uploader can only be streamed, but not downloaded.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accessing the Media Library<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To access the Media Library in Brightspace, click the <strong>Settings <\/strong>icon located in the top right corner of the screen and select <strong>Media Library<\/strong> from the dropdown menu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul Recordings to the Media Library<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Recordings can be added to the Media Library in three different ways: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Instructors can upload recordings from their device.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Instructors can create recordings directly in the Media Library.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recordings created in other course tools in Brightspace (e.g., Content, Assignments) are automatically added to the Media Library. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Uploading a Recording to the Library<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To upload a
