Final Check<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure your course site is ready for the start of the semester, there are some general elements that should be updated\/verified. The following checklist highlights some of these key elements. Instructors can also refer to&nbsp;this \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.citl.mun.ca\/technologyresources\/files\/2025\/10\/Quick-Guide-to-Brightspace-Oct-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Quick Start Guide to Brightspace<\/a>\u2018 (in PDF) for strategies and tools to help prepare courses and build in instructional efficiencies upfront.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For additional resources on course preparation and delivery, please visit CITL\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.citl.mun.ca\/instructionalresources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Instructional Resources<\/a> site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>Ensure that you have a course site for each course and section you are scheduled to teach.<\/td><td>If you do not see course site, contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citl.mun.ca\/support\/\">CITL Support Centre<\/a>.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Confirm students are enrolled.<\/td><td>View <strong>Classlist<\/strong> under <strong>Communication <\/strong>in the course&#8217;s navigation bar.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Enroll other instructors, TAs.<\/td><td>Use the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.citl.mun.ca\/technologyresources\/brightspace-guides\/course-admin\/course-site-enrollment-tool-in-brightspace\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Course Site Enrollment Tool<\/a> or contact the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.citl.mun.ca\/support\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CITL Support Centre<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Ensure your course content (syllabus, schedule, assignments, quizzes, etc) is reviewed and up-to-date.<\/td><td>Switch to <strong>View as Student<\/strong> mode (in your course, click your name in the top right corner of the screen) and review your content. Switch back to Instructor role and update files as necessary.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Ensure links (articles, urls, videos, etc.) are still working.<\/td><td>Update as necessary.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Update all course dates (assignments, quizzes, discussions, etc).<\/td><td>Consider adding all major course dates to the course&nbsp;<strong>Calendar<\/strong>&nbsp;on the course homepage.<br>Watch this&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0JHYWEvcBr8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">video<\/a>&nbsp;for an introduction to&nbsp;<strong>Calendar<\/strong>.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Update announcements on the course homepage.
