class=\"wp-block-heading\">Library: Course Reserves<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>The library&#8217;s Course Reserves system enables instructors to build a resource list for their course directly in the Brightspace course site. Thus, students can access any course readings and other resources you add through this central location. A link to the Course Reserves can be added to the Brightspace site in one of four ways: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h4 id=\"at-2550\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\"><strong>1. Add a link to the navbar<\/strong><\/h4><div id=\"ac-2550\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the course navbar, go to <strong>Course Admin<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <em>Site Setup<\/em> section, select <strong>Navigation and Themes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Locate the<em> Active NavBar<\/em> box on the page and click on it. A dropdown menu will open. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Course Reserves<\/strong> from the menu and click <strong>Apply<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The navbar for your course site will now be updated to include a direct link to Course Reserves.\u00a0You can locate the link by clicking on <strong>Content <\/strong>in the navbar and selecting it from the dropdown menu. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h4 id=\"at-2551\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\"><strong>2. Add a link to Course Content<\/strong><\/h4><div id=\"ac-2551\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the course navbar, go to <strong>Course Content<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under the <em>Table of Contents<\/em>, select the module to which you want to add a link to your course resources. If there are no modules, you will need to create one. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the page for the selected module opens, locate the <strong>Existing Activities<\/strong> box and click on it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>External Learning Tools<\/strong> from the dropdown menu.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the popup <strong>Add Activity<\/strong> window, locate <strong>Course Reserves<\/strong> and click on it. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>A direct link to the Course Reserves tool is now added to the selected module in your course content.\u00a0Clicking on this content Item will launch the tool.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h4 id=\"at-2552\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\"><strong>3. Activate a homepage containing a Course Reserves widget<\/strong><\/h4><div id=\"ac-2552\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the navbar, go to <strong>Course Admin<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <em>Site Setup<\/em> section, select <strong>Homepages<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Locate the<strong> Active Homepage <\/strong>box and click on it. Add a Course Reserves widget to your custom homepage<\/strong><\/h4><div id=\"ac-2553\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the navbar, go to <strong>Course Admin<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <em>Site Setup<\/em> section, select <strong>Homepages<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Either create a new homepage or copy and customize an existing one.
