and ensure that you have completed all the steps for downloading and installing the software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To access ScreenPal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to Brightspace,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Instructors <\/strong>in <strong>My Dashboard<\/strong> widget, <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Celect <strong>ScreenPal<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy the SceenPal password generated for you and then click the link provided.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default border\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter When prompted, enter the ScreenPal password you have just copied (<em>not <\/em>your Memorial password).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>On the &#8220;ScreenPal: Memorial Recording&#8221; page, you will see three buttons that correspond to the main functions of the tool. A 3-2-1 countdown will begin. When recording starts, the black-and-white dotted frame around your recording area will change to red-and-white to indicate that recording is in progress.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can pause the recording at any time by clicking the <strong>Pause<\/strong> button <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"42\" height=\"42\" class=\"wp-image-22865\" style=\"width: 42px\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.citl.mun.ca\/technologyresources\/files\/2021\/11\/screencastomatic26.png\" alt=\"\">. When you pause, a bar will display with options to resume recording (click <strong>Rec<\/strong>), play what has been recorded so far, end the recording (click <strong>Done<\/strong>), or delete it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default border\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"515\" height=\"57\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.citl.mun.ca\/technologyresources\/files\/2021\/11\/screencastomatic24.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22869\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.citl.mun.ca\/technologyresources\/files\/2021\/11\/screencastomatic24.png 515w, https:\/\/blog.citl.mun.ca\/technologyresources\/files\/2021\/11\/screencastomatic24-300x33.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 515px) 100vw, 515px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When you have finished recording, click <strong>Done<\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You will now have two options: to <strong>Save\/Upload<\/strong> or <strong>Edit Video<\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you select <strong>Save\/Upload<\/strong>, your recording will be saved to the ScreenPal folder and you will be able to view it. After viewing the video, you can decide what to do next:\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>save the recording on your computer (available formats are MP4, AVI, FLV, and GIF)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>edit the recording in the ScreenPal editor, or <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>delete the recording and start over.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you select <strong>Edit Video<\/strong>, your recording will be saved in the ScreenPal folder and you will be taken to the editing window. Editing an existing recording<\/strong><\/h4><div id=\"ac-228092\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On the ScreenPal, select <strong>Open the Video Editor<\/strong>. Some of the tools are:\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>Adding captions (speech-to-text, typed by you, or from a file)<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Adding music (from the available selection or imported)<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Deleting segments of the recording<\/li>\n\n\n<li>and many, many more (for a complete list of editing tools, visit <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/screenpal.com\/blog\/video-editor-cheat-sheet\/\" target=\"_blank\">the ScreenPal site<\/a>).<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>After every edit you make, you will be asked if you want <strong>Modify Main Video<\/strong>.
