Lecture Capture records a small video image of the instructor, the instructor\u2019s voice, and all information projected through the data projector. We ask that you include a notice to that effect in your course syllabus and\/or in the <strong>Announcements <\/strong>section of your Brightspace course site. Here is a sample message you can post:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group note-container has-base-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Note<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>All classes for this course, unless otherwise notified, will be recorded. Comments and questions by those present in the class may be captured in the audio of the recording. Additionally, student presentations and participation may be captured on video. Before doing so, you should do the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Confirm your room allocation<\/strong>.\u00a0The scheduling of your class recordings is directly linked to a particular room, so any changes will result in recordings not being uploaded properly.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Determine if your course sites need to be combined<\/strong>. Instead, please reach out to the <a href=\"https:\/\/citl.mun.ca\/support\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CITL Support Centre<\/a> to request a recording. Here is the information you should include in your request:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>room you will be recording in <\/strong>(the room must be equipped with Lecture Capture).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>date, start time, and end time of your recording<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>event name<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be asked to accept the recording agreement below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-base-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Lecture Capture Agreement<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to use CITL\u2019s Lecture Capture hardware, all users must agree to the following agreement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I agree to have the session indicated above recorded by the CITL Lecture Capture technology.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I agree to notify the participants in the session that the session is being recorded (see <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.citl.mun.ca\/technologyresources\/files\/2018\/11\/LectureCaptureNotice_2018.pptx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sample PowerPoint slide<\/a>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I agree to let participants know the purpose of the recording and how it will be used.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is my responsibility to get permission to record all individuals who can be identified in the recording and I agree to do so.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I understand that I have ownership of the content in the captured recording except for content already under copyright restrictions or owned by other presenters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I understand that the recording provided to me after the event is complete and it is my responsibility to properly protect the recording.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Timelines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Setup Time:<\/strong> CITL will require 3 business days\u2019 notice to set up the Lecture Capture system to record your session. A recording created for one section\/course should not be used in other sections\/courses as the context may be lost for the students who were not in the course in which the recording was made.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recordings are published to Brightspace ONE DAY AFTER they are created.
