Instructors can use Online Rooms to do one or both of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Record live lectures during scheduled class time, with students present in the Online Rooms session. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Record lectures outside the scheduled class time, with no students present in the session.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This resource explains how you can set up recording sessions in Online Rooms without inviting the students (scheduling sessions for students is discussed <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.citl.mun.ca\/technologyresources\/brightspace-how-tos\/communication\/online-roomsvideo-assignments\/how-to-set-up-an-online-room\/\">here<\/a>) and how to share the resulting recordings in your Brightspace courses. You will be able to use the <strong>Record <\/strong>button inside the Online Rooms. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leave <strong>Publish recorded meeting<\/strong> selected &#8211; this ensures that the recording you generate is shareable. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unselect <strong>Invite entire class<\/strong> &#8211; this ensures that students do not receive a notification to join the session you are scheduling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Save<\/strong>.
