It allows instructors to incorporate new forms of evaluation, such as real-world simulations, role-play scenarios, debates, peer reviews, and other creative ways to evaluate students. Students can easily record themselves (individually or in groups) and easily share the recordings with the instructor though Brightspace. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h4 id=\"at-20732\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">&gt; <strong>Why would I use the Video Assignment in my course?<\/strong><\/h4><div id=\"ac-20732\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p>You can use it to deliver structured, video-based assessments that evaluate learners on speeches, oral presentations, language skills, and more. Instructors can easily grade video assessments and add time-stamped feedback, showing learners exactly where they need to improve. Through video-based assessments, learners can demonstrate both their knowledge and their soft skills in an engaging, easy-to-use way.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h4 id=\"at-20733\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">&gt; <strong>How long can a video be?<\/strong><\/h4><div id=\"ac-20733\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p>The maximum size of a video submission is 20 gigabytes, which is equivalent to about 1.5 hours of high-quality video.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h4 id=\"at-20734\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">&gt; <strong>What are the technical requirements for students?<\/strong><\/h4><div id=\"ac-20734\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A high-speed internet connection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A video recording device (either a webcam on a desktop\/laptop computer, or a video recorder app on a tablet or smartphone)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An up-to-date internet browser (<strong>NOTE:<\/strong> Firefox and Chrome are recommended.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recommended but NOT required \u2013 A standard video-editing program like Microsoft Movie Maker, iMovie, Google Vids, or WeVideos.\u00a0Some of these programs may be on your computer, and others are available on the web at no cost. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#d9f0fe\"><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> Students should record in medium to low quality settings. You can import a rubric from a .csv spreadsheet file but it will need to be in the proper format. However, some of my students are not listed on the video assignment page. Why?<\/strong><\/h4><div id=\"ac-20739\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p>Sometimes the list of students on the video assignment page will not match the classlist in Brightspace.
