The settings available in the dashboard are important to understand whether you will be using Webex within Brightspace or on its own. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click the items below for details on how to start using Webex in your course. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h4 id=\"at-202970\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\"><strong>1. Request a Webex account from ITS<\/strong> (video instructions included)<\/h4><div id=\"ac-202970\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p>In order to use Webex and integrate it with Brightspace, you must first request a Webex account from Memorial&#8217;s Information Technology Services (ITS). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mun.ca\/cio\/it-services\/network-mobile-devices-and-phones\/virtual-meetings-webex\/\" target=\"_blank\">ITS site<\/a> and follow instructions on the page. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once your account is created, you will get an email saying that Memorial University has invited you to Cisco Webex.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The email will also contain a link to activate your account. Click on that link to complete the activation process. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When the account is activated, you will be redirected to the <a href=\"https:\/\/mun.webex.com\/\">https:\/\/mun.webex.com\/<\/a> domain. Explore your Webex dashboard<\/strong> <\/h4><div id=\"ac-202973\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p>Your dashboard is the page you see when you log in to the Webex portal. Once the recipient clicks on this link, they will have to enter their name and email address, and then will be directed to your room.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Schedule a meeting<\/strong>: Use this function to create meetings that will occur in the future. You can optionally enable a repeating meeting schedule. You will be asked for some information about the meeting:&nbsp;date\/time, name, password, agendas, invitations, send email reminders as well as other options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Start a meeting<\/strong>: Clicking this will take you into your <strong>Personal Room<\/strong>. This is useful for ad-hoc meetings.
