In this workshop\, we will provide some tips on how to achieve that – all without any knowledge of HMTL. \nWe will introduce two sources of templates that you can import into Brightspace and modify: the ‘Brightspace Course Setup Kit’ and D2L’s HTML Templates. We will walk you through the template pages and demonstrate how to customize them according to your instructional needs. DESCRIPTION:Generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools like ChatGPT are changing the way instructors assign and assess writing in university classrooms. Whether you’re concerned how generative AI may impact students’ learning or excited by the possibility of streamlining your lesson planning\, ChatGPT and similar tools will likely influence your teaching in the coming semesters. \nJoin CITL staff and the Writing Centre for a casual coffee break to ask questions and discuss generative AI in your classroom. You may be wondering how to address ChatGPT on your syllabus\, or perhaps you want to delve into a conversation on authentic assessment\, academic integrity\, writing pedagogy\, and student support. This coffee break is intended to spark discussion and share ideas. \nThis coffee break will be hosted in the Teaching and Learning Exchange TLX (ED 1001)\, St. John’s campus or you can participate remotely using Webex.
