DESCRIPTION:The presenter for this session is Dr. Lourdes Peña-Castillo\, Full Professor\, Departments of Biology and Computer Science\, Faculty of Science. \nIdentifying strategies on whether and how to incorporate generative AI (Language models) in teaching is an ongoing challenge and debate for educators. \nIn this talk\, Dr. Peña-Castillo will define generative AI\, discuss the benefits and concerns associated with its use\, and engage participants in a discussion of how to incorporate language models like ChatGPT in the classroom. \nThis is a hybrid session (offered online and in-person) and it will be recorded.  \nIf attending online\, it is recommended that you attend this session using one of the following internet browsers:  Chrome\, Microsoft Edge (Chromium) or Firefox.
