SUMMARY:Give Your Brightspace Course a ‘Facelift’ with Easy-to-Use Templates
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wondered how to make your Brightspace course look more polished and visually appealing? In this workshop\, we will provide some tips on how to achieve that – all without any knowledge of HMTL. \nWe will introduce two sources of templates that you can import into Brightspace and modify: the ‘Brightspace Course Setup Kit’ and D2L’s HTML Templates. We will walk you through the template pages and demonstrate how to customize them according to your instructional needs. We will also focus on using various page components (tables\, images\, headings\, accordion items\, etc.) and show you how to effectively incorporate them into your Brightspace pages. \nThis session will be hosted in Webex. DESCRIPTION:This session will focus on the options available for assessing student learning using the Quizzes tool in Brightspace. Brightspace quizzes enable asking various types of questions of students\, and they are easy to set up\, administer\, and grade. Topics covered in this session include: \n\nCreating a quiz\nDue dates\, availability dates\, and other restrictions\nAppropriate security settings\nProviding special access for select students\nAccessing and grading student submissions\n\nWays of creating a different version of a quiz for each student (shuffling\, using question pools or sections\, etc.) will also be presented. \nThis session will be hosted in Webex.
