DESCRIPTION:The presenter for this session is Dr. Jeanne Sinclair\, Assistant Professor\, Faculty of Education.\n \nRubrics are a widely used method for communicating expectations and feedback to students. How can we maximize rubrics for effective feedback/feedforward? In this session\, we discuss how rubric-based assessment can build collaboration\, inclusivity\, and student ownership of learning. We will also focus on using rubrics to generate higher-order thinking (i.e.\, critical thinking\, problem-solving\, and creativity). Dr. Sinclair focus the session on meaningful and pragmatic rubric use\, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own rubrics to the session to share and exchange ideas. \nThis is an online session and it will be recorded.
