DESCRIPTION:Whether you are new to teaching in Brightspace or just need a refresher\, the Brightspace Basics session will walk you through the basic steps of preparing your course site for the start of the term. Topics include: \n\nOverview of CITL’s support team\nLogging into Brightspace and accessing your course site\nAdding content to a site\, including the Brightspace Course Setup Kit\nUsing course mail and announcement to contact your students\nSetting up a discussion forum\nCreating assignments and quizzes\nSetting up the grade book to track and return grades to students\nIntroducing online rooms\n\nParticipants are encouraged to bring forward issues or challenges they may have experienced when teaching with Brightspace\, and the facilitator will aim to provide suggestions to address them. \nThis session will be hosted in Webex. SUMMARY:Brightspace Help Session for Per Course Instructors
DESCRIPTION:Are you a per-course instructor planning to use Brightspace this semester in your on-campus or online course? If so\, please join us for this hands-on session where we will offer a walkthrough of the main Brightspace tools\, and then provide an opportunity to explore the available tools with the assistance of CITL’s instructional designers and Learning Technology Coaches. We will also recap the types of support the Teaching and Learning Exchange (TLX) offers to all instructors at Memorial\, including pairing up an instructor with a Learning Technology Coach who could be available to assist with educational technologies throughout the semester. \nThis session will be hosted in person in the Teaching and Learning Exchange TLX (ED 1001).
