SUMMARY:Online Rooms in Brightspace
DESCRIPTION:Online Rooms is a “web-conferencing” application accessible within each Brightspace course site. This tool allows instructors to schedule and host synchronous sessions with students\, and the sessions can be recorded for review. Some ways to use this tool include hosting online office hours\, review sessions prior to an exam\, and guest speaker or student presentations. The online rooms can also be used to record lectures\, which can then be shared with students through the Brightspace course site. This session will present the features of the online rooms and share best practices for using them. \nRegistration is required for this event. \nThis session will be hosted in Online Rooms. You will receive a link to it upon registration. The online room will open 15 minutes before the start of the session. You can also join by following this link. \nIt is recommended that you access the room using either of the following internet browsers:  Chrome\, Microsoft Edge (Chromium) or Firefox

DESCRIPTION:You don’t have to start from scratch when preparing your Brightspace course site for a new term. Brightspace has a feature that allows you to copy a complete course (less student data\, of course) or just the components you want to reuse. This session will cover how to copy\, update due dates\, update or hide old content and more. \nParticipants are encouraged to bring forward issues or challenges they have experienced when preparing their Brightspace courses\, and the facilitator will aim to provide suggestions to address them. \n\nThis session will be hosted in Webex.
